Night Ramblings in a Texas Graveyard

Arbin Lee Reeves

Arbin Lee Reeves, 65, of Lockhart (formerly of Gonzales) passed away on Thursday, Nov 8, 2007, at his home in Lockhart.
Mr. Reeves was born Sept. 14, 1942, in Midland, Texas, to Leo Arbin and Mildred (Goins) Reeves.
He served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Reeves was also the past president of the American Bowling Congress and a member of the Professional Cowboy Rodeo Association.
He worked for most of his life as a transportation broker for produce companies.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his children, Elizabeth Gray of Lockhart, Susan Jensen of Vacaville, Calif., and Art Reeves of Waco; his mother, Mildred Reeves of Gonzales; four grandchildren, Delaney Gray, Madisen Gray, Trinity Gray and Amy Reeves; and brothers, Gary Don Reeves and wife Laura of San Marcos, Harold Reeves and wife Arlene of Gonzales, and Marshall Reeves and wife Sammie of LaVernia.
The family received friends at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. Graveside funeral services were held in the Gonzales Masonic Cemetery at 10 a.m.
Serving as pallbearers were Donald Dorsey, Jay-Dee Reeves, Darold Reeves, Dwayne Reeves and Richard Collins. Honorary pallbearers were Hugh Shelton and Billy Benes.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to donate to the American Cancer Society.
