Girls fall to Lake Travis

The Lion's Den was the place to be Sept. 9, as the Lady Lion volleyball team hosted Lake Travis in there first district match-up.
The varsity team played extremely well, but came up short, losing in five games, 25-27, 18-25, 25-18, 26-24, 15-7. The team started the match slowly but gained momentum and won games three and four.
"The entire team played well tonight," said Coach Guina Williams of her team. "Our backs were against the wall but the girls regrouped after the second game and came out ready for play. I'm proud of their performance." The varsity's team record is 11-7 and 0-1 in district.
